On June 1st, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Dr. Gustavo Pacheco-López, Rector of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in Mexico City, to our institute. In an engaging guest lecture, he introduced his university and highlighted the diverse opportunities for international collaboration—including exchange programs for students and doctoral candidates, joint research initiatives, and other forms of academic partnership.
UAM is one of Latin America’s leading public research universities, with a strong profile in the natural and life sciences, offering excellent potential for deepened collaboration with our faculty. Many attendees took the opportunity to meet Professor Pacheco-López in person and subsequently discussed specific possibilities for cooperation.
